Amy Power, PE
Geotechnical Engineer
Amy is a geotechnical engineer with over ten years of experience in the Pacific Northwest with an emphasis in landslides and slope stability. Amy has served serves as lead geotechnical engineer on numerous projects including bridges and culvert replacements, trails, roadways, transfer stations, marine and waterfront structures, and sewer and wastewater treatment structures.
Amy graduated from San Jose State University with a master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, she began her career as a geologist and quickly became interested in how we navigate the issues of building infrastructure in geologically hazardous areas.
Amy loves the diversity of professional experiences and technical expertise within HWA, she enjoys the collaborative brainstorming and the enthusiasm of her peers and mentors when tackling complex geotechnical design issues. She loves working together with a diverse design team to create a safe, sustainable, and (hopefully) aesthetic infrastructure for the public to enjoy!
