Sunnyside Municipal Airport
The project involved relocating the existing taxiway to provide adequate runway/taxiway separation. The objective of our investigation was to evaluate the existing pavement and subgrade conditions in the vicinity of the proposed improvements. Our scope of work included field reconnaissance, test pit logging, pavement coring, laboratory testing, engineering analyses, and preparation of a detailed engineering report summarizing the investigation results and our recommendations.
Paine Field, Everett, Washington
HWA provided geotechnical engineering investigation and design services for the proposed new Aircraft Rescue Firefighting Facility (ARFF) Project at Paine Field Airport, in Everett, Washington. The new facility will be housing heavy duty fire engines such as the Oshkosh® Striker 3000.
Sea-Tac International Airport
HWA GeoSciences Inc. provided geotechnical design services for the approximately 26-acre construction lay-down area site. HWA provided geotechnical recommendations for the design and construction of the proposed lay-down area comprising four terraced levels for contractor needs, a parking area for construction staff vehicles, and access roadways on site.
