Sean Schlitt

Geotechnical Engineer PE

Mr. Schlitt has 5 years of geotechnical engineering experience in the Pacific Northwest, with an emphasis in earthquake engineering, liquefaction, and foundation design.  He has worked on numerous projects such as bridge replacements, bridge retrofits, roadway widening, transfer stations, and sewer and wastewater treatment structures.  His experience includes developing field exploration programs; coordinating with clients, owners, and field personnel to complete site reconnaissance, performing detailed geotechnical engineering analyses, and providing geotechnical design recommendations as they relate to the challenges of each project.  He has also provided a variety construction inspection services throughout his career including foundation element inspections, installation of deep foundation systems, soil compaction inspections, the construction of retaining structures, and paving and compaction for roadways.  Mr. Schlitt’s project experience includes the replacement of the Edgewater Creek Bridge in Everett, design of the Marysville Wastewater Treatment Facility, and seismic retrofits for the McGraw Street Bridge and Maple Heights Bridge.  In addition, Mr. Schlitt has worked on several WSDOT-funded transportation improvement projects and is familiar with the WSDOT Standard Specifications, the Geotechnical Design and Bridge Design Manuals, and a majority of the local design specifications in the greater Seattle area.  His applicable project experience includes the following.
