Avril graduated from Saint Martin’s University with a degree in Civil Engineering, her fascination with how applied math and science could describe natural phenomena pushed her to pursue this degree and geotechnics stood out because there wasn’t always a definitive answer to the problem, leading to creative approaches from multiple angels to create a range of solutions.
Avril enjoys helping clients navigate difficult geotechnical conditions to safely construct projects and finds inspiration being a part of a collaborative team of people who are dedicated to creating something new. She is proud to be a part of infrastructure development and will point out which job sites she has worked on while on a road trip!
Avril’s favorite part about working for HWA is the diversity among the staff and the wide range of experience levels. She enjoys learning about her co-workers past experiences and seeing them leverage those experiences in their career growth.
