Bryan has over 25 years of experience performing geotechnical site investigations, project management, construction monitoring and inspection, and pavement testing using HWA’s in-house Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD). He has performed geotechnical engineering on a broad range of projects including buildings, roadways, bridges, retaining structures, and storm and wastewater systems and facilities. Mr. Hawkins’ area of expertise involves pavement evaluations, FWD test data acquisition and processing, development of Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) and Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) pavement designs, as well as design of pavement rehabilitation alternatives. Mr. Hawkins currently manages HWA’s pavement department as well as the construction inspection and materials testing department.
Bryan followed his fascination of large civil construction projects into the field and obtained his Masters in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati in 1999. He enjoys working for HWA because of our smaller size and the fact that we are employee owned, as well as the variety of interesting projects we get to be a part of and the awesome people he gets to work with every day!
