Donald Huling

Geotechnical Engineer PE

Mr. Huling has been providing geotechnical field and laboratory experience on roadway, parks, building, railroads, and wastewater conveyance system projects since 2006. He has performed subsurface explorations (test pits and borings), groundwater monitoring, infiltration analysis, liquefaction analysis, and slope stability evaluations that have assisted in the design recommendations and construction guidance for a variety of projects. Mr. Huling has developed design recommendations on a variety of projects including MSE walls, signal pole foundations, drilled shaft and pile capacities as well as foundation bearing capacities. In recent years, Mr. Huling’s work on the University of Washington’s Savery Hall Seismic Renovation and the City of Everett’s Riverfront Development has merited two gold Engineering Excellence awards from ACEC Washington. Mr. Huling also has expertise performing laboratory tests on soil samples, and providing construction monitoring on the installation of drilled shafts, piles, soldier pile and lagging walls, and MSE walls.  Donald currently serves on APWA Board of Directors and has focuses on education and funding opportunities for local agencies.  Donald’s attention to detail paired with his leadership and technical expertise make him a valuable asset to any project team that is looking for confidence in design, cost, and follow through.
