Kristin Nolan
Laboratory Data Manager
Kristin has over eight years of experience as both a laboratory technician and manager, and is proficient in laboratory testing of HMA, soils, concrete and aggregate. She holds WAQTC certification for Asphalt testing, as well as various ACI and NICET certifications and is highly proficient at aggregate, soil, concrete, and HMA testing.
Kristin ended up in this industry by accident, following a friend who worked in special inspections while taking a break from school and deciding if she wanted to continue studying wildlife biology. Kristin started earning various industry certifications “for fun” in her spare time and ended up taking what she thought would be a temporary job performing construction observation and inspection. What really piqued her interest though, was not the field inspections, but materials testing. Once she set foot in a lab, she never looked back, and she loves what she does!
Kristin loves knowing that the work she does at HWA contributes to keeping our infrastructure and communities safe, she also loves working with such a diverse group of people who all bring different backgrounds, life experiences and areas of expertise. She is always learning something new about her colleagues!
