The City of Everett is in the process of redevelopment of the former City of Everett Landfill located along the Snohomish River. HWA has provided hydrogeologic and geotechnical services on this project since 1995. HWA developed a comprehensive ground water model for the site in support of the Feasibility Study and Consent Decree for the Department of Ecology. HWA also evaluated background ground water quality and monitored landfill gas in preparation for water compliance.

HWA provided geotechnical engineering and geo-environmental services as part of the design team for the Bow Lake Transfer/Recycling Facility Master Plan Update and Implementation project. The project entailed replacement of the existing transfer station. A new transfer building was built on an adjacent property, the existing transfer station site will be redeveloped with support facilities, roads, and trailer parking after the new transfer building is completed.
