Ali Sirjani
Geotechnical Engineer, PE
Mr. Sirjani has four years of experience performing geotechnical engineering analyses, site investigations, laboratory testing, and construction monitoring and inspection. Prior to joining HWA, Ali was a field engineer in Iran working on deep excavations, earthwork, soil nail walls, tieback and anchor systems. Ali’s research includes soil liquefaction and residual strength of liquefied soil. He was also a recognized teaching assistant of Foundation Engineering course under supervision of Professor Stark at University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. Ali now works closely with HWA’s senior geotechnical engineers on a variety of projects including roadways, utility conveyance systems, buildings, transportation facilities, and bridges. Ali’s work includes developing design recommendations for deep and shallow foundations, trenching and deep excavation, retaining structures, utility conveyance systems, slope stability analyses, and geotechnical seismic and liquefaction analyses. Ali is a highly motivated and inspiring team player who is able to provide timely and accurate results. Ali’s natural aptitude for details and his fresh perspective make a great addition to his project teams.
