Garrett McHugh
Geologist-In-Training
Garrett graduated from Western Washington University with a BS in Geology in 2019, originally starting as a computer science major before his love of the natural world pulled him away from the computer screen and into the field.
His experience includes two years as a research technician collecting water quality data in Whatcom County, followed by nearly five years in Nevada working in remote mineral exploration. He has diverse field-focused experience including coordinating field crew logistics, geologic mapping, supporting drill programs, logging core, collecting downhole geophysical surveys, and providing geochemical interpretation of mineral systems.
