James has a strong background in geologic laboratories and graduated from Albion University with two majors in Biology and Geology. James was drawn to the field when his father took him on a trip to the Petrified Forest National Park where he became fascinated with how our earth tells stories of the past. James conducted his undergraduate thesis on fluid geo-chemistry is excited to bring that experience into the exciting work that HWA does!
