Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Joe graduated from Washington State University with his BS in Civil Engineering with a Minor in Mathematics and his MS in Civil Engineering. He has 14 years of experience performing all aspects of geotechnical investigations and design including site reconnaissance, evaluation of geologic hazards, soil sampling, laboratory testing, infiltration testing, slope stability modeling and monitoring, engineering analysis, and project management.
His experience includes observing installation of soldier piles, tie-backs, rammed aggregate piers, pin piles, driven piles, drilled shafts, auger-cast piles and retaining walls. Joe has extensive field experience verifying bearing capacity, observing pavement subgrade, monitoring erosion control, and performing density testing. Joe manages a variety of projects from preliminary feasibility studies through design, permitting, and construction, and has provided design and construction support for buildings and bridge foundations, transportation, utility, and municipal infrastructure, as well as projects involving landslide hazards and slope stabilization.
