Shelby Cutter, EIT
Geotechnical Engineering In Training
Shelby graduated from the University of Washington in 2022 with her MS in Geotechnical Engineering, she also graduated from Whitman College in 2019 with her BS in Geology. Prior to obtaining her MS, Shelby worked at Mt. Rainier National Park completing a risk assessment for park infrastructure along the Nisqually River. This work didn’t include mitigation strategies which left her feeling unsatisfied and led her to pursuing her MS in Geotechnical Engineering.
At HWA, Shelby works on a wide variety of projects including roadways, transportation and pedestrian improvements, buildings, waterfront structures, bridges, water towers, retaining structures, deep foundations, storm and wastewater systems and facilities, as well as fish passages.
